Twelve students from Carbon and Emery counties have been rewarded for their academic excellence with college scholarships from Emery Telcom.
Miranda Gold of Price, Marie Harvey of Ferron, Vern Kofford of Elmo, Randi Rhodes of Cleveland, Jared Richens of Price, Meagan Roach of Price, Whitney Saupan of Orangeville, Patricia Smith of Price, Samantha Smith of Price, Lindsey Spadafora of Green River, Adriane Weihing of Huntington, and Brantz Woolsey were selected for the 2009 scholarship awards.
The annual scholarship contest judges applicants based on academic background, goals and essay quality.
Thirty-two students entered the 2009 scholarship contest.
