PRICE-Lucille Sandoval Vasquez, age 62, died Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at her home in Price.
She was born April 23, 1947 in Price, Utah, the loving daughter of Emilla Lujan and Benny Sandoval.
On July 25, 1964 she married Joseph Lewis Vasquez, in Orem, Utah.
Lucy was a devout member of Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church where she was a member of the Spanish Choir. She enjoyed her volunteer work, especially Mondays when she volunteered as a Pink Lady at Castleview Hospital. She loved bowling, scrapbooking, Bunko and selling Avon. Her warm smile and big embrace will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband, Louie, Price; three sons and two daughters, Dorothy (Patrick) Sparrow, St. George, Deedee (Clarence) Vouk, Midvale, Joseph Vasquez, Wyoming, Benjamin (Carrie) Vasquez, Anthony (Lisa) Vasquez, both of Price; mother, Emilla (Joe) Martinez, Payson; sister-in-law, Joan Garcia, Wis.; 16 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and her loving extended family and friends.
Lucy was preceded in death by her father, and brother, Michael Anthony Garcia.
Funeral Mass, Wednesday, May 27, 2009, 10 a.m., Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church, 210 North Carbon Avenue. Vigil service, Tuesday evening 7 p.m. at the church in Price. The family will be at the church Tuesday and Wednesday one hour prior to services. Committal service, Cliffview Cemetery, Price. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home.
