PRICE-Richard Neal Hayes, age 80, passed away May 20, 2009 at his home in Price.
He was born Feb. 19, 1929 in Kansas City, Kan. to Harry and Edith G. Bicknell Hayes.
Married Sophia Mahleres, April 27, 1952 at the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church in Price.
Survivors include his loving wife, Sophie Hayes, Price; three sons and one daughter, Harry (Melinda) Hayes, Livermore, Calif., Bill Hayes, Price, Edie Bezyack and Rex Rhodes, Evanston, Wyo., Rich (Jan) Hayes, Salt Lake City; 11 grandchildren, Justin, Karl, Lindsey, Amanda, Zach, Max, Patrick, Mallory, Quintin, E.J., and Dallas; brother-in-law, Nick (Helen) Mahleres, Grand Junction, Colo.; special friends, Sam and Lorraine Falsone, Price; and numerous nieces, nephews and a community of dear friends.
“Pops” was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Bill Hayes.
The family received friends at the family home, 281 South 100 West in Price, Saturday, May 23, 2009 from 2-5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Active Re-Entry, 10 South Fairgrounds Road, Price, Utah 84501.
