Tommy Lou Mortensen peacefully passed away at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 30, 2009 in Arizona. Tommy was born on Jan. 17, 1934 in Emery, Utah to Grant and Maude Mortensen; he was one of 13 children.
Tom and Phyllis Jean Helm were happily married on Oct. 12, 1957 for 47 years until she passed away in March of 2004. They had three children together.
Tommy is survived by his three children; Rick, Lori and Chris, 10 grandchildren; Nicole, Jessica, Janine, Josh, Anna, Emily, Blake, Brandon, Sarah and Beau, five great-grandchildren; Zach, Cyrus, Cayson, Victor Jr. and Jasmine, his brothers; Walter, Leon, Michele and Sandy, his sisters; Donetta, Belle, Gay, Larena and Toni-May.
Tommy was beloved by all, and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday, June 6, 2009 at 2 p.m. at the Emery LDS Chapel. A viewing will be from 1-1:45 p.m. prior the services at the chapel in Emery. Interment will be in the Emery Town Cemetery.
Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary.
