Max Jay Fenn, age 90, passed away on June 2, 2009 in Lehi, Utah. He was born on July 10, 1918 in Thatcher, Ariz., the son of Walter Leroy and Emma Leona Morris Fenn.
Max married Julia Faye Wanlass on Oct. 23, 1946 in Salt Lake City. They are the parents of five children. Faye passed away on July 24, 1986, he then married Patricia Brinkerhoff on Jan. 10, 1987.
Graduated from Benson Union High School when he was 16, skipping two grades, he attended Gila Academy for one year in Thatcher, Ariz. He served in many callings throughout his life, LDS Eastern States Mission, Bishoprics and High Council. He worked as a dairy farmer and dairy distributor for Shamrock Dairy. He was a beekeeper, hard worker so he never learned to play, he never lost his temper, was the kindest man on earth and he loved to read.
Survived by his children; Juliane Maxine (Steve) Deeter, La Sal, Utah, Sharon Lee (R. John) Poulson, Kaysville, Utah, Michael Jay (Loma) Fenn, Albuquerque, N.M., Julie Ann (A. Blake) Smith, Mosida, Utah, Karon Lee (Peter) Graham, Mesquite, Nev., 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, siblings; Kathleen Gardner, Margorie Andersen, Waldo Fenn and Boyce Fenn. Preceded in death by his two wives, four brothers; Clarence, Golden, Jeddy, Anthon, and sister Drucilla Walker.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 6, 2009 at 11 a.m. in the Wing Mortuary Chapel, 118 East Main, Lehi, Utah. Family and friends called Saturday morning one hour prior to service. Interment, Lehi City Cemetery. Online guest book at wingmortuary,com.
