PRICE-Lois Ellen Norton Salzetti, age 80, passed away peacefully June 10, 2009 in Price, Utah, from the effects of Alzheimer’s disease and a recent stroke.
She was born Sept. 23, 1928 in Caldwell, Idaho to Howard Charles “Bud” Norton and Fay Russell.
Lois attended schools in Price where she met her high school sweetheart and lifelong husband of 63 years, Raymond Salzetti. They were married on March 26, 1946 in Price and blessed with two wonderful children.
Lois was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and she received her endowment at the Logan Temple.
As a longtime resident of Price, East Carbon, and Huntington, she was actively involved in the Grassy Trail Riding Club and the Kiwanis and Lions Club. She was a past employee of the Carbon County School Lunch Program, and held several other positions as family needs dictated.
In her spare time she enjoyed teaching dance to young girls and boys, and participating in scouting. Lois loved working alongside others in the community and was always willing to go the extra mile for the scouting programs.
Lois loved to be outdoors, and she enjoyed being with family and friends on those occasions. She loved to stop and say Hi to young children, which in turn loved her. Lois will be missed by all that knew her. She was a wonderful loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all she met.
