Vera Jensen Jacobson, age 88 of Spring Lake, passed away Friday, July 31, 2009.
She was born Dec. 17, 1920 in Goshen, Utah to Charles Moroni and Cora Hathaway Jensen.
She married Clealon Wesley Jacobson, Feb. 14, 1938 in Spring Lake. He preceded her in death June 6, 1993.
Vera loved gardening, crocheting, reading and homemaking. She cherished the time spent with her family and had a gift of listening that brought many hours of comfort to her entire family.
She was cared for in her later years by her kids and she was able to die peacefully in her home in Spring Lake.
Survivors include: five children, Don (Karen) Jacobson, Spring Lake; Connie (LaMar) Openshaw, Santaquin; Kirk (Leslie) Jacobson, Spring Lake; Shanna (Larry) Davis, Castle Dale; Lynda Jacobson, Spring Lake; 22 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by: a daughter; three brothers; a grandson and a great-great-granddaughter.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2009, 11 a.m., at the Spring Lake LDS Chapel, 12625 Spring Lake Road.
