ELMO-Emma Ross Bedier Casebier, age 88, returned to her heavenly father Aug. 8, 2009 at the Emery County Nursing Home in Ferron.
Emma was born Dec. 9, 1920, in Arcadia, Utah to Alvin Ross and Christeen Bird.
She married Richard Paul (Dick) Bedier of Green River, Utah on Aug. 14, 1941, they later divorced. She married C.E.Casebier of Fort Stockton, Texas, he preceded her in death.
Emma had many talents, she loved to crochet, knit, sew, garden and work in her yard. She loved dancing, especially ballroom dancing with her brother, Francis. She enjoyed caring for others and for 20 years she worked as a nurse.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she was the secretary of the Relief Society and staunch supporter of Boy Scouts for many years. She was a member and President of the Country Side Club in Fort Stockton, Texas.
Emma is survived by three of her children, Richard Al (Sherrie) Bedier, Las Vegas, Nev.; Ramona Sheehan, Fort Stockton, Texas, Beth (Jerry) Mecham, Cleveland,Utah; three step children, Greg Casebier, New Mexico, Eddie Casebier, Fort Worth, Texas; Grace Lynn Wright, Fort Worth, Texas; 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; sister, Christeen Ross Kennedy, Palm Springs, Calif.; three sisters-in-law, Clella Ross, Marjorie Ross and Miriam Casebier.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, Alvin, George, Francis, Darrel and Boyd Ross; husband C.E. Casebier; her youngest son, Paul Logan Bedier and great-grandson, Jonathan Luna.
The family of Emma would like to extend a special thanks to the Emery County Nursing Home, Rocky Mountain Hospice and Dr. Etzel and staff for the comfortable way they made her last days. Thank You.
Funeral service, Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009, 12 noon, Elmo LDS Ward in Elmo, Utah. Family will be at the church Saturday one hour prior to service. Interment, Cleveland City Cemetery.
