According to Lt. Bill Downard of the Emery County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Saturday the Emery County Sheriff’s Office received a call of an injured subject in the Baptist Draw area, south of I-70.
Members of the Emery County Sheriff’s Office, Emery County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue and the Department of Public Safety chopper responded to the area.
The DPS chopper was used to transport repelling gear and personnel to the area.
At approximately 8:35 p.m. Air Med was requested to respond to the area to transport the individual.
The individual was a 21 year old male from the Salt Lake City area. He had two possible broken ankles after an approximately 20 foot fall.
The individual was transported to the University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake.
