Huntington businessman Tom Potter received an award recently from the Coalition for a Tobacco Free Utah. Potter elected several years ago to stop selling tobacco products of any kind in his store in Huntington. Hometown Market is a family friendly store on Main Street in Huntington. The store recently went through major renovations to more fully serve the customers in Emery County.
Georgina Nowak and Debbie Marvidikis with the Southeastern Utah District Health Department were on hand at the store to give the plaque of appreciation to Potter.
Huntington Mayor Hilary Gordon also took part in the ceremony. “Gordon said, “It takes a lot of courage to go forward and stand up for what you believe in.” Mayor Gordon appreciates Hometown Market and the wonderful contribution the store makes to the people of Huntington and surrounding areas.
