"JV quarterback Nick Stoddard drops back to pass and the offensive line buys him some time to find the receiver."

Emery played a JV game last week that was not on the schedule and the Spartans came away with a 32-0 victory over the JV team from 4-A Uintah. Emery picked up the game for their younger team because Carbon does not have a team. With the Dinos having only a sophomore team and a varsity team, it only made sense for Uintah to drop off the sophs in Price and then come to Castle Dale for a JV match since Emery was in a varsity bye week.
After having worked hard for a week to execute better, Emery came out in this game and looked good throughout the game. Emery played their juniors for a little over half the game and their sophomores got the rest of the playing time.
Colten Fasselin scored three times in this game from the fullback position, Cody Jones scored once on a pass reception from quarterback Nick Stoddard and Brian Clark scored a touchdown when a really short punt bounced into his arms and he ran into the end zone.
The team as a whole had pretty good intensity throughout the game and they kept the visitors off balance.
The Spartan JV team and sophomore team will now travel this Thursday to St. George to play Desert Hills. On Friday, the two varsity teams of the same two schools make a game of it in Castle Dale at 7 p.m. Desert Hills has revenge on their minds due to a Spartan overtime victory last year down there.
