The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) advises motorists that U.S. Highway 6 will be temporarily closed at Tucker in Spanish Fork Canyon between mileposts 203 and 204 Wednesday evening, September 2nd at 6:00 p.m. while construction crews blast adjacent rock.
The closure is anticipated to take up to 30 minutes. Traffic will be stopped in both directions until the roadway is safe to re-open.
This closure will also affect the junction of Skyline Drive and South Starvation Road with U.S 6.
Motorists are advised to obey all traffic control signs and workers, and to use caution driving through the canyon between Spanish Fork and Price due to multiple construction projects.
The excavation is part of a project to reconstruct and widen the roadway.
