Emery High prepares for Homecoming 2009

Homecoming schedule of events:
Theme: “I Wanna Rock”
Sept. 21: Homecoming assembly and pep rally in the auditorium, 8:20 a.m. This program will include the Mr. and Mrs. Emery Contest. The winners will represent the school as homecoming royalty.
Sept. 22: Rocker Day. Students are encouraged to spike their hair. Volleyball vs. Richfield. After the volleyball match, Beef Cake Volleyball will be held with sophomore, junior, senior and faculty teams competing.
Sept. 23: This is Dress-up-Like-Your-Parents Day. Students may also dress like one of the Emery High teachers. This is also Parent/Teacher Conference from 3-9 p.m. in the library. During P/T Conference, the student council will have a booth in the Spartan Corner where parents may sign up to be a part of the MESS. Cost is $10. Each new member will receive a MESS shirt.
Sept. 24: Caveman Day. The student council will paint the Spirit Rock.
Sept. 25: Black and Gold Day. Everyone is encouraged to wear the MESS shirts. The homecoming game is at 7 p.m. vs. Richfield. A party will be held on the field after the game.
Sept. 26: Homecoming Dance, 8 p.m., old gym. This is a semi-formal dance. Cost per couple is $10.
TheClass of ’84 plans their 25th reunion during homecoming week. The class will gather on Sept. 25, in the school’s cafeteria at 5 p.m. and then go to the Emery/Richfield game at 7 p.m.
After the game, the alumni will again gather in the school where they will be given a tour of the campus by Neal Peacock.
