PRICE- Our loving mother and Nana, Mary Carmella Marretta Falsone, age 99, passed away Sept. 29, 2009 in Price.
She was born to immigrant parents on July 25, 1910 in Alton, Ill. to Augustino and Maria Sinatra Marretta.
Married Anthony “Tony” Falsone on Feb. 9, 1946 in Price, Utah. He died on Nov. 15, 1998.
Member Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church. Mary was a member Ladies of the Moose Club. She enjoyed cooking, reading mystery novels and shopping. Her greatest love was her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her family.
The family would like to thank the caring staff of Parkdale Care Center and Dr. Sterling Potter for the care their mother received over the years.
Mary is survived by her children, Tony L. (Elayna) Falsone, Helper; Teresa Allred, Price; Charlene (Danny) Lewis, Spring Glen; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; sister, Frances Hurskainen, Salt Lake City; brother, Philip Blanda Jr., Peoria, Ariz.; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband Tony, brother Joe Marretta and grandson Mark Lewis.
Funeral Mass was held Monday, Oct. 5, 2009, 10 a.m., Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church, Price. Vigil service was Sunday evening 7 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home. Family was at Mitchell Funeral Home Sunday and Monday one hour prior to services. Committal service Price City Cemetery.
