OREM-James Stewart Fausett, age 67, passed away suddenly Nov. 12, 2009 at Timpanogos Hospital.
He was born on July 21, 1942 in Price, Utah to James William Fausett and Fern Ross.
He married his beloved Dianne Fossat on March 27, 1967 in Las Vegas, Nev.
Stewart was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a longtime resident of Carbon and Emery counties where he was known by many as a disc jockey for KOAL Radio and a writer for the Sun Advocate Newspaper. He shared a special love for law enforcement and a colorful career as a dispatcher for the Emery County Sheriff’s Department and the Utah Highway Patrol. In 1985, the family moved to Orem where he worked as a customer support representative for a number of different companies including WordPerfect and the Utah Transport Authority. Before his retirement in 2007, Stewart would often say that he had the best job in the world and he could always tell people where to go and how to get there.
Stewart enjoyed hiking, reading, traveling to new places, conquering Freecell solitaire and most importantly spending time with his grandchildren and other family members.
He is survived by his wife, Dianne Fausett, Orem; two daughters and two sons, Sherry Lynne Fausett, American Fork, Stephen Chad (Tracie) Fausett, Spanish Fork, Amber Leigh (Christopher) Coffey, Westminster, Colo., Shawn Derrick Fausett, Boulder, Colo.; his brother, Ross Orlin (Deanna) Fausett, St. George, six grandchildren, Aeryka, Baylee, Cymric, Allisyn, Madisyn and Sebastian; and one more grandchild on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service, Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009, 11 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home. Family will be at Mitchell’s Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday one hour prior to services. Interment, Mt. View Cemetery, Helper. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home.
