EAST CARBON-Clent H. Fisher, age 72, passed away Dec. 5, 2009 at his home in East Carbon.
He was born July 21, 1937 in Sunnyside, Utah the loving son of Curtis and Evelena Peterson Fisher.
Clent was a longtime resident of the area and graduate of Carbon High School in 1955. He worked in the uranium mines for 25 years in Moab, Utah and later returned to East Carbon and started Fisher Coal Furnace business.
Clent had a strong work ethic and he worked for ECDC for 14 years before retiring in 2005.
In 1989 he met the love of his life, Barbara Anderson and they were later married in East Carbon on Nov. 11, 1990. They shared many wonderful years together and they remained side by side in all their endeavors.
Clent loved the desert, mountains, lakes for fishing, camping and watching the Utah Jazz. He loved his dogs and they were always by his side (Chaquita, Mela, Missy, Pacho, Pepper, Zabra and Zoie). We’ll miss his quick wit and his great sense of humor.
He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Fisher, East Carbon; beloved daughters, September Fisher, Murray, Corrina Gardner, Salt Lake City; sisters, Allena (Michael) Hyatt, Medena, Wash., Linda Hanburg, Sandy; extended family, Connie (Gary) Harvey, Elk Ridge, Kathy (Ron) McMahan, Knoxville, Tenn., Gerry (Christine) Manley, Sunnyside, Ashley (Jeanette) Manley, East Carbon, Tom (Mary) Manley, Moab, Charlotte (Randy) Salyer, Overton, Nev., and a very special son and friend, Joe Manley, East Carbon, thanks for all you do.
Clent is also survived by many nieces, nephews, 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Clent’s family would like to thank Rocky Mountain Hospice, Barry, Rick, Diane, Chanda and many more; also to the critical nurse team who provided 24 hour care and comfort, Barry, Janice Dee Dee, Dorreanie, Ron and Suzanne.
Clent was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service, Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009 1 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home. Family will be at Mitchell’s Wednesday one hour prior to service.
Interment, Cliffview Cemetery, Price.
