PRICE-our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather, LaMar L Safley, age 79, returned home to his Heavenly Father on Nov. 30, 2009 in Price, Utah. He was born to Lewis L and Rue Rich Safley on Feb. 17, 1930 in Price, Utah. He married the love of his life Patsy Snyder on June 15, 1949 and spent 60 years together.
LaMar loved hunting, fishing, and riding his 4-wheelers with his children. LaMar was a wonderful man and loved his family. His family will deeply miss him.
He is survived by his wife Patsy, children: Linda (John) Graham, Bob (Karen) Safley, and Rosie (Larry) Powell, 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother Leon Safley, and a daughter Gloria Dix.
Funeral services were Friday, Dec. 4, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Wellington LDS First and Fourth Ward Chapel (50 North 100 East Main.) There was a viewing on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009 at Fausett Mortuary in Price from 6-7 p.m. and on Friday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the services at the church. Interment was in the Wellington City Cemetery. Services were in the care of Fausett Mortuary. Friends and family may sign the guestbook and share memories of LaMar at www.fausettmortuary.com.
