WELLINGTON/HELPER-David Eugene Udink, age 62, passed away Dec. 29, 2009 at Castleview Hospital. He was born Feb. 8, 1947 in Ogden, Utah to Eugene Joseph and Vivian Pappas Udink.
David was a longtime resident of Carbon County where he worked construction for various companies. He shared a special love for equipment and his most enjoyable job was working for Carbon County as a heavy equipment operator and truck driver. His hobbies included fishing, riding Harley’s and collecting just about anything. David will be missed greatly by all.
Survived by his mother, Vivian Udink, Wellington; two sons and one daughter, David Jr., Provo, Stephanie and Chris, both of Price; sister, Georginna of Wellington; brothers Mike and Deno, both of Oregon, and Paul of Salt Lake; seven grandchildren and two great-granddaughters. Preceded in death by his father, son, Nathan; sister, Cathy; and brother John.
A celebration of David’s life will be Wednesday evening, Jan. 6, 2010, from 6-7 p.m., at Mitchell Funeral Home. Everyone is invited.
