SPRING GLEN-Our loving husband, father, grandpa and friend, Terry Anthony Marasco who was born on Dec. 8, 1948 passed away Jan. 10, 2010 at his home after a lengthy battle with cancer.
He married Jeannette Marie Kokal on Aug. 21, 1971 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Helper.
Member of the Catholic Church. Terry was a lifelong resident of Carbon County and graduate of Notre Dame High School. He attended Utah State and the University of Utah for four years. After following his father’s desires, he returned home and worked alongside his dad as partners in Marasco and Son Trucking just shy of receiving his bachelors. For years he worked the family business and later they purchased Castle County Oil of Price, leaving behind a legacy for Terry’s sons.
He was a member of the Price National Guard. Terry enjoyed riding his Harley, restoring old antique cars, driving his diesel, snow mobiling and most of all humiliating his buddies on his old Cleveland machine. Terry was truly blessed with many dear friends and he cherished every outing he shared with them. He shared a special love for pets and in honoring his wishes, Terry would greatly appreciate donations to the Humane Society or Animal Shelter in his memory.
Survived by his wife, Jeannette; three sons, Michael (Tifani) Marasco, Matt (Karah) Marasco, and Mark Marasco; five grandchildren, Nizhoni, Kaytlynn, Christian, Anthony and Audyson; and his other freakin kids (his dogs).
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Sterling Potter for all the visits and special care, and to Kourtney Herrera and Jennifer Aragon for the loving care they shared with Terry and his family.
Memorial Mass, Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010, 11 a.m., St. Anthony Catholic Church in Helper with a Vigil service beginning at 10:30 a.m. The family was at the church Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price.
