WELLINGTON-Kathy Jo Harris Martin, age 58, passed away Feb. 5, 2010 in Price after a lengthy battle with multiple health problems.
She was born Oct. 22, 1951 in Cortez, Colo. Kathy grew up and was raised by her wonderful parents Thurman Harris and Marie Ferrick in Monticello, Utah.
Kathy shared a deep appreciation for the outdoors. She loved caring for her flowers and riding 4-wheelers with Paul on the weekends. She loved pets, especially her constant companions Griz, Baby and Tinker.
Kathy graduated from the College of Eastern Utah with an Associate of Science. She later went on to work for Price City as the water master and eventually as the assistant drafting engineer. She worked for Price City for 16 years where she made many wonderful friends.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Martin, Wellington; sons, Dave (Michelle) Torres, Price, Brad Gagon and Serenie, of West Jordan; her mother, Marie Harris, Monticello; two sisters and three brothers, Bev (Bill) Cattles, Deloris, Colo., Chris (Tom) Reynolds, Florida, Mike (Dawn) Harris, LaSal, Utah, John (Diana) Harris, Colorado Springs, Colo., Kenny Harris, Phoenix, Ariz.; three sisters-in-law, Kristine (Troy) Asay, Price, Lori Keele, Ferron, Kim (Russell) Parish, Price; and her nieces, Sami Jo, Tessa Jean, Yvette and Nila.
She was preceded in death by her father, her Grammy Trudy Marlin; and daughter, Lisa.
Funeral service, Friday, Feb. 12, 2010, 11 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home. Family will be at Mitchells’ Friday one hour prior to service.
