PRICE-Mary Margaret Flaim, passed away peacefully Feb. 22, 2010 at the Heirloom Inn on her 88th birthday.
She was born Feb. 22, 1922 in Sublet, Wyo. to Frank and Maria Paternoster Flaim.
She was a member of Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church where she was an active supporter of all church functions.
Mary Margaret received her Bachelors and Masters degrees in education from the University of Utah. She worked for the Carbon County School District at Carbon High School teaching students typing, office skills and computer skills for 43 years. She taught as many as three generations of Carbon County residents. She was a member of the Utah Educators Association for 65 years and was elected to the National Honor Society of Secondary Schools in 1988 as an Honorary Member.
Survived by her two nephews, Francis R. (Betty) Flaim Jr., Modesto, Calif.; Stephen F. (JoAnn) Flaim, San Diego, Calif.; great-nephew and great-nieces, Christopher J. Flaim, Brisbane, Australia; Jennifer F. Kenyon, Pasadena, Calif.; Allison F. McMillion, Tacoma, Wash.; Amanda M. Flaim, San Francisco, Calif.; Bryna K. Flaim, Hamilton, New Zealand; Celia E. Flaim, Cardiff, Calif..
Preceded in death by her parents, sisters Lena and Emma Marie; brothers Fred Peter and Francis Richard Flaim; and two infant brothers.
Funeral Mass Thursday, Feb. 25, 2010, 10 a.m, Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church. Vigil service Wednesday evening 7 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home. Family will be at Mitchell’s Wednesday and Thursday one hour prior to services. Committal service Price City Cemetery. Online condolences of Mary Margaret can be shared at mitchellfuneralhome.net.
