Our beloved mother and grandmother, Sarah Levae Jones, age 91, left this life surrounded by her family on Feb. 19, 2010 in Tacoma, Wash.
She was born on Jan. 5, 1919 to David and Mavorneen Peterson in Sunnyside, Utah.
She is survived by her four children, Dallan Jones (Helen), Olympia, Wash., Phillip N. Jones (Audrey), Ferron, Utah, Carol Ann Scovill (Kirk) Tacoma, Wash., and Calvin K, Jones (Jolene), Murray, Utah and 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, three great-great- grandchildren and a sister, Norma Gehrig of Varina, Iowa.
She worked for many years at Deseret Pharmaceutical that later became Warner Lambert in Sandy, Utah. She loved cooking, playing card games, and most of all spending time with her family. She was a huge fan of the Utah Jazz and rarely missed watching their games. A world class Mom, Grandma, and Great Grandma, she lived the early part of her life in Castle Dale, Utah and later Salt Lake City, then moved to Tacoma, Wash. in her twilight years to be with her family. She will be sorely missed by her family and all who knew her.
Preceded in death by her husband, Lonel L.Jones, two sisters (Vontella Blackham and Lela Gehrig) and a brother ( David Peterson).
Funeral Services will be held at Fausett Mortuary in Castle Dale, Utah on Saturday Feb. 27, 2010 at 1 p.m., viewing one hour prior to the services. Interment in the Castle Dale Cemetery.
