CLEVELAND – Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, and dear friend, Lois Elaine Wall Jensen, age 73, passed away March 25, 2010 while surrounded by her loving family, at the residence of her daughter Tiffni Monahan in Price after fighting Leukemia for seven years.
She was born Dec. 9, 1936 in Cleveland to Clarence and Vida Timothy Wall; brothers, Jim (Joan) Wall, Mapleton, Lynn (Carol) Wall, Bountiful, David (Arbra) Wall, Mountain Green; sister, Wilma (Andrew) Barnett, Price.
She married Keven Jensen, June 5, 1954 in Cleveland.
Lois was a faithful member of Desert Edge Christian Chapel in Huntington where she served as a Sunday school teacher, choir member, and head deaconess for many years. She was a devout Christian who worshiped and raised her family in Price Chapel and later left to help establish Desert Edge Christian Chapel in Huntington. Lois loved Christmas, family camp at Alliance Redwoods, stock shows, shopping, NASCAR and supporting her grandchildren’s events. Lois was adventurous, she loved to travel and spend Thursdays with her friends and family. Lois served on South Eastern Utah Stockshow Committee for many years and was Emery County’s Representative for the Make-It-Yourself With Wool Contest. She was a very generous and classy lady who had the gifts of encouragement, kindness, generosity and she shared them with everyone she met. Lois brought comfort and elegance to everything she touched. She had a great sense of humor and used laughter as her best medicine right to the very end.
She is survived by her husband, Keven Jensen; son, Wade (Cassie) Jensen; daughters, Nikie (David) Stokes, Jodi (Rev. Carl) Sitterud, all of Cleveland, Jamie (Philip) Howa, Helper, Tiffni (Dr. Daniel) Monahan, Price, Misti (Rev. Shawn) Bagley, Lehi; 13 grandchildren, Nicole, Kaleb, Jade, McKenzie, Jesse, Keven, Sarah, Davie, Allie Jo, Lexie, P.J., Christian, and Halle; six great-grandchildren, Asia, Zayn, Bowen, Dane, Rogun and Tyne; lifelong best friend and cousin, LuRene Swinburne; as well as her Bible Study friends of twenty years.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral service, Tuesday, March 30, 2010, 11 a.m., Desert Edge Christian Chapel, 15 E. 500 S. in Huntington. Family will receive friends at Desert Edge Christian Chapel Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday one hour prior to services. Friends are welcome at Mitchell Funeral Home daily. Interment, Cleveland City Cemetery. Lois was a women of strength, wisdom and laughter.
