PRICE-Our beloved brother, Ted Phillip Cowley, age 58, passed away April 14, 2010 in Price. He was born March 5, 1952 in Price, Utah to Vaughan and Hazel Baker Cowley. Ted was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a lifelong resident of Carbon County and graduate of Carbon High School Class of 1970. Ted was an avid outdoorsman who lived to hunt and fish. His passion for the great outdoors allowed him to pursue a degree in Wildlife Biology from Utah State University.
Ted enjoyed working with his hands and for years he worked at Plateau Mining where he was well respected by all. Ted was a man of few words, but when he had something to say everyone would listen.
Survived by three brothers and two sisters, Ralph (Georgina) Redford, Wellington, Roberta (Parl) Stevenson, Altamont, Utah, Warren (Lee) Cowley, Austin, Texas, Peggy White, Wellington, Jeff (Tonya) Cowley, Helper; and many dear nieces and nephews.
Ted was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers.
Graveside service, Saturday, April 17, 2010, 12 noon, Price City Cemetery. Family receive d friends at Mitchell’s Saturday from 10:45-11:45 a.m. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home where friends are welcome daily and may share memories of Ted at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net
