Estella Guymon, a native of Castle Dale and long-time resident of Huntington, will celebrate her 96th birthday on April 28. About six years ago, she decided to let someone else do the cooking, and she moved with her late husband, Grant Guymon, into an assisted living center in Orem. She continues to enjoy good health and a sharp sense of humor. She has easily assumed the status of friend, confidante, and advocate for others who also reside at the Beehive House. Estella keeps busy with reading, doing mending and alterations for herself and others, visiting with her family and friends, and shopping by catalog. As she says of her enduring love of clothes, “When I lose interest in clothes, you’ll know it’s time to bury me. But, make sure to bury me in something pretty.”
Estella is the mother of Edward, Sue, and the late, John Geary. She has eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
