PRICE- Our loving mother, grandmother, and friend, Lois Colleen Draper Fossat, age 85, passed away May 10, 2010. She was born Sept. 26, 1924 in Storrs, Utah to Herbert Allen and Ava Anderson Draper.
Married Ralph Fossat Sr. on Jan. 24, 1944 in Helper, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. He passed away May 19, 2003.
Member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served in various positions. As an artist, she was a member of the Carbon Art League, and the mural they painted is still on display at the College of Eastern Utah Prehistoric Museum. Until recently, she taught art at the Carbon County Senior Citizen Center. She cherished her memories spent playing pinochle with her high school friends for many years, meeting monthly for dinner and cards. She loved spending time with family and friends at their property in Joe’s Valley. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survived by sons, Ron (Irene) Fossat; Ray Louis (Kathy) Fossat; daughter, Lianne (Mike) Milovich; daughter-in-law, Rosalie Fossat, also survived by eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; son, Gene; an infant daughter, Ava Dawn; one granddaughter, three great-grandsons, and brother, Herb.
Graveside service, Thursday, May 13, 2010, 11 a.m., Castle Dale City Cemetery. Family will be at Mitchell Funeral Home Wednesday evening 6:30-8:00 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home where friends are welcome daily and may share memories of Lois at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
