PRICE-After a heroic battle with pancreatic cancer, our beloved Pearl Jeanette Macris in the presence of her loving husband and family members drifted off into the arms of her Lord Jesus Christ on May 3, 2010. She was born on Aug. 18, 1949, in Price, Utah. Pearl was the only child of Robert and Eleanor Swinburne Rasmussen.
On Nov. 14, 1975, she married Paul Macris at her parents’ home in Wellington, Utah. Although Pearl had no natural children, she leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and cousins that benefitted from her love, wisdom and humor.
Pearl worked at the Sun Advocate and Carbon Hospital. As a medical transcriptionist, she deciphered the dictation of Dr. Sterling Potter and Dr. Walter Snihurowych.
She was a faithful member of Price Chapel where she sang in the choir and served on the praise team. At Prime Timer activities her cakes and cooking skills were displayed with regularity. Pearl loved the outdoors, spending time with Paul camping, fishing, and exploring on her 4-wheeler.
Pearl is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Paul Macris; and a community of extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert C. Rasmussen and Eleanor J. Swinburne Rasmussen.
