PRICE-Thomas Olen Green, age 82, passed away May 3, 2010 at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center from complications of a chronic lung disease.
Tom was born Dec. 14, 1927 in Washington, Pa. He grew up in a state orphanage until Guy and Mildred Montgomery became his adoptive parents whom he loved very much.
Married Marie Jensen from Orangeville on April 13, 1960 in Price.
Tom was a driller most of his life either working on local rigs or platform rigs in the Gulf of Mexico. He was a very hard working man who others say passed his many traits onto his children. He was full of love and compassion. His faith inspired those who knew him and he was a role model for his two boys and grandchildren. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his son’s and their families. He loved the outdoors, working in his yard, feeding the wild birds with his hand made bird feeders and caring for his two best buddies, his cats Banjo and Missy. His hard fought battle with pulmonary fibrosis and silicosis which lasted years showed everyone how to have a positive attitude despite their illness.
Survived by his wife Marie Jensen Green; his two sons, Gary (Julie) Green, Jeff (Kristi) Green; grandchildren, Gary T. Green, Stephanie M. (Tony) Ghirardelli, Jeffrey M. (Carrie) Green, Alex T. Green; great-grandchildren, Julianna M. Ghirardelli, Gracie C. Green and Kennan M. Green; and his adoptive mother, Mildred Montgomery.
Preceded in death by his adoptive father, Guy Montgomery.
