HUNTINGTON-Cassie Lee Cox Ewell, 31, passed away at her home in Huntington, June 5, 2010. Cassie was born July 15, 1978 in Provo, Utah to Dennis and Angie Cox. Cassie married Rodney Mart Ewell on Nov. 23,. 1996 in Castle Dale, Utah and later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. She was superwoman, wife, mom, friend, sister, aunt. All who came in contact with her were touched by her service, love and sincerity. Cassie was determined to run life’s race, she never gave up. She was determined to run strong and she sprinted to the end. Medical issues were only an obstacle to be hurdled.
Cassie Lee married Rodney Ewell shortly after high school, they were sweethearts in so many ways. They could country swing faster than the watcher could follow. Her bubbly personality melted life’s cares away.
No one could ever question she had her priorities eternally focused. Her family was first. She would be in excruciating pain and attend her sweet girls’ pageants, sports and church events.
She was an amazing hostess to family members and friends. She was always trying to get family together. She served with all her heart and might as PTA President, in Relief Society, in the Castle Valley Pageant and other activities.
She was a great mom and she loved to doll the girls up with fun costumes at Halloween and fix the girls’ hair fancy for events. She wanted to be a part of every second of her babies’ lives. She was born to be a mom.
She returned to her Heavenly Father June 5, 2010 after a big family get together and went to her peaceful slumber where she could rest from mortality’s burdens. She wouldn’t have had it any other way-serving family and finally a restful nap. Until we meet again dear Cassie.
She is survived by her husband and her three special daughters, Chaselee, MayCee, and Trintzdee Ewell all of Huntington; her father Dennis (Debra) Cox of Cedar City, mother Angie (Barry) Cowley of Price; sisters Aimee (Andy) DiBrienza, Toni (Tyler) Petersen, Jamie (Richard) Harline of Cedar City and Shana (Jayson) Mortenson of Orem; brothers Heath (Jeri) Oveson of Cedar City, Bevan Cox of Denver, Gavin Cox of Vernal, Seth (Melanie) Oveson of Price, Kallon (Breann) Cowley of Huntington, and Keaton (MacKell) Cowley of Cleveland; grandmother Claudia Kenney of Orangeville, grandparents Charles and Cleo Adams of Lehi, and many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceded in death by grandparents Stan and Marie Cowley, Ferris Holmes, Neldon Cox, Mike Kenney, Dal and Darlene Guymon, and brother Kolbe Cowley.
