Grace Welch, formerly from Helper celebrated her 100th birthday in Oregon where she resides with her daughter Joyce Welch and Phyllis and Joe Schaffeld.
More than 25 people were in attendance. Most were grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends.
She was married to Angelo Welch who passed away in 2003. They were married for 67 years.
Grace and Angelo were very active in the St. Anthony Parish and the Helper Community.
Grace was secretary at the Helper Central and Sally Mauro school for many years. She also did volunteer work at the Helper Museum.
Grace recently flew to Utah to visit her brother Frank and sister Mary Maglioco. She also visited with old and dear friends.
She is well loved by her four grandchildren and six great grand children. The oldest is 21 and the youngest is 4.
