PRICE, UTAH-Rex C. Tryon, age 76, passed away Sunday, June 27, 2010 while visiting with a friend in Coal Creek.
He was born May 7, 1934 to Rex and Irene Hartley Tryon.
Married Patsy Perea on Dec. 11, 1965 and have been married for 44 years. He always loved his morning drives, hunting, fishing, Lake Powell, and spending time with family and good friends. In 1968 Rex and his brother Fred opened Fred’s Glass Shop. Their place of business quickly turned into a place where friends would stop by for coffee and share many stories. They closed the shop in 1998 and retired. He loved all the grandchildren and he always made sure they had bumming money. We will greatly miss our sweet husband, dad, grandpa, brother, and uncle.
Survived by his loving wife, Pat, Price; children, Cydney Domenick, Danny Tryon, both of Moab; Cori (Rory) Barnes, Murray; Jeff (Glenna) Wright, Price; Traci (Sling) Herrman, DeBeque, Colo.; grandchildren, Season, Amy, Chainey, Jake, Darrell, Kyllee, Baylee, Tyler, Hannah, Amanda, Drew, Daniel; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, and two brothers, Elaine Naylor, Salt Lake City; Vodis (Hayden) Hunter, Fred (Petra) Tryon, both of Price; Pat Williams, Carbonville; David (Judy) Tryon, Sandy.
Preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Braydon Barnes; sister, Mary Christensen and infant brother Bernell.
Memorial graveside, Friday, July 2, 2010, 11 a.m. Cliffview Cemetery where family and close friends bid him a farewell. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral home of Price where friends and family are welcome to share memories of Rex online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
