HUNTINGTON-David D. Avery, age 55 passed away June 26, 2010 after a short battle with cancer. He was born Sept. 19, 1954 to Donald D and Josephine Nord Avery.
Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.
For many years dad was a remarkable heavy equipment operator, he also loved to work in his garage tinkering with anything he could find. He was an amazing man, great at building anything you asked him to. It had to be perfect or he would start over.
Dad also loved being outdoors, hunting, fishing, or just riding around in his Rhino with his dog Dutchess.
Dad also loved his second job doing dishes at the cafe. He was always there to help out his kids and taught them how to fix or build anything.
He was a very loved man and he will be greatly missed by all who were lucky enough to meet him.
He is survived by his best friend: Cindi Edwards of Huntington, children: Jeremiah (Kirsten) Avery of Huntington, Heather Avery of Huntington, Marissa (Brawny) Killpack of Ferron, Chelsey (Davey) Rhodes of Cleveland, and Keith (Pat) Thurgood of Clearfield; nine grandchildren: Courtlyn and Terryn Avery, Jordyn and Angel Turner, Shaidyn, Kavery, Jerzie, and Brodie Killpack, and Kanyen Rhodes; brothers, Gary (Carol) Avery, and Bob (Penny) Avery; and one sister, Debbie (Norman) Bostain. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services were held Wednesday June 30, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Fausett Mortuary (720 North Center Street – Castle Dale, Utah). Viewing was Tuesday, June 29, 2010 from 6 – 8 p.m. also at the mortuary and on Wednesday from 10- 11 a.m. prior to the service at the mortuary. Interment was in the Huntington City Cemetery. Services were in the care of Fausett Mortuary.
