The family of Ben Arvel Hansen would like to announce his 90th birthday on Oct. 5. He still irrigates his farm with the shovel on his back. His horse now has four wheels but he still gets his cows where he wants them to go.
In Arvel’s words he would tell you he has four kids, seven granddaughters, six great-granddaughters, five great-grandsons with one unknown on the way to make an even dozen.
The family will be celebrating with him on Oct. 2 at Turnquist Cottages in Elmo from 1-3 p.m. if you would like to stop by and say “Hi.”
