PRICE- Frank Dominic Rinna, age 79 passed away Oct. 30, 2010.
He was born Dec. 1930 in Price, Utah to Sam and Mary D’Ambrosio Rinna.
Married Sue Piacitelli Rinna in January of 1962 and started their family.
Frank Rinna was amazing. He was considered a good friend who always lent a helping hand and had a good story to share. He could tell the same story over and over but added a new spin each time. Frank found a friend in every person he met and left people with a smile. He always said “I’ve never met a stranger.” You knew you were welcome if you were given one of his clever nicknames. He could always be found in his yard either manicuring the lawn, working the garden, or chatting with the neighbors. He was always generous and shared his harvest each year.
His family was his first priority and his grandchildren were the light of his life. He was a wily card player, an avid sports fan and loved to draw and color with his grandchildren. He was a real character with a big heart and lots of charm. He thought anything could be cured with ice cream, a spoonful of honey, or a hot toddy. He instilled hard work ethic, a healthy appetite and good humor in his family.
Frank served his country in the Korean Conflict, worked for Rio Grande Motor Way, Long Airdox, and Underground Service and Hydraulics among many other jobs in his long life. He was a faithful member of Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church.
Survived by his wife, Sue; five children, Merry, Cris, Mike, Teresa, and Karin; his grandchildren Jeremy Reynolds, Amanda Tallerico, Nicole Tallerico, Merina Hardwick, Autumn Hardwick, and Jordan Timothy; great-grandchild, Gabriella; son-in-laws, Scott Hardwick and Charley Simmons, Scott Bauman who became one of his family; many beloved nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents; sister, Margaret Sicilia; brother-in-law, Frank Sicilia.
