ORANGEVILLE – Katherine Rene (Ross) Van Buren died Nov. 21, 2010 after battling Multiple Myeloma cancer. She was born on April 30, 1950 to Carl Tony Ross and Beverly Dillon in Montrose, Colo. She was raised in Vernal, Utah. She married Arthur Kay Van Buren on June 24, 1968 in Vernal, Utah.
Kathy was one of Jehovah Witnesses. She lived and raised her family in Orangeville, Utah. She used to own and operate a greenhouse called Blooms & Things.
She also used to own a home in San Felipe, Mexico where her and her husband, Art enjoyed spending their winters. Katherine enjoyed gardening, painting, and the outdoors but her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her mother, Beverly Ross; children: Ricky J. (Wendy) Van Buren of La Plata, N.M., Cody C. (Daniella) Van Buren of Ogden, Utah, A. Corey (Shelby) Van Buren of Price, Utah, and Dusty (Doni) Van Buren of Orangeville, Utah; grandchildren: Colton (Monique), Kaylee (Mike), Sydney, Matthew, Devon, Daxson, Cadence, Cambrie, Saxon, Talysa, Mitch, Gage, Hunter, and Ryder; and brothers: Doug and Kirby Ross.
Preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Kay Van Buren; father, Carl Tony Ross; sisters: Carla Hartman, and Carma Harris; and brother, Carl Ross.
Services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 25, 2010 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses (720 North Cedar Hills Drive – Price, Utah.)
Graveside service will be held Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Orangeville City Cemetery. Viewing will be Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010 from 9-10:30 a.m. prior to the graveside service at Fausett Mortuary (720 North Center Street – Castle Dale, Utah.) Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary.
