PRICE-Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, Isidor Pascual Jacquez, age 84, passed away Nov. 28, 2010 in Price.
He was born April 4, 1926 in Gallina, N.M. to Enriques and Regina Aragon Jacquez.
Married Mary Alice Manzanares, later divorced. On May 19, 1973, Isidor married Rose Salazar Flores in Price, Utah.
Isidor was a member of Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. As a life member of the V.F.W. Miners Post #2379 and a member of the Price American Legion Post #3, Isidor was always willing to help his fellow comrades with any military rites.
Isidor was a longtime resident of Carbon County where he worked in various coal mines in the area. He was a retired member of the United Mine Workers of America District #22. He loved fishing, hunting and camping.
He shared a great love for music, and his greatest enjoyment was sitting around the campfire playing his accordion and harmonica. Isidor was a very distinguished gentlemen who took great pride in all that he did.
Survived by his wife, Rose S. Jacquez, Price; his children, Johnny (Candy) Jacquez, Helper; Joe (Teresa) Jacquez, Ogden; Lillie (Rick) Duran, Durango, Colo.; Irene (Lloyd) Cruz, Arboles,Colo.; Ed (Cathy) Flores, Flagstaff, Ariz.; Viola Valdez, Price; Helen Gallegos, Grand Junction, Colo.; brother, Albert Jacquez, Price; 46 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Joann; two sisters, Albertina and Pauline; brother, Vivian; and two grandsons, Victor Jacquez and Albert Valdez.
Funeral Mass, Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, 11:30 a.m., Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church.
Vigil service Thursday evening 7 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home. Family will be at Mitchell’s Thursday and Friday one hour prior to services. Committal service, Price City Cemetery.
