Southeastern Utah District Health Department would like to help stock local food banks for the holidays, but also wants to help the community be as healthy as possible. A person getting their flu vaccination can help do that.
December 5th – 11th is National Influenza Vaccination Week. During regular immunization hours you can just show up with two cans of food and get a flu shot. Family of four? No problem, just bring eight cans of food.
David Cunningham, Health Director states “Getting a flu shot might not be a priority for someone if they don’t have enough food for themselves or their families. We realize flu vaccine has been available in our community for several weeks, but this is a unique event and we are excited to offer it in this way.”
Castle Dale Office Immunization Clinic hours for this event are:
Monday, December 6th 8:30 – 11:30 am and 4:00 – 5:30 pm
Tuesday, December 7th 4:00 – 5:30 pm
