Bring food get free flu shot

By By

Southeastern Utah District Health Department would like to help stock local food banks for the holidays, but also wants to help the community be as healthy as possible. A person getting their flu vaccination can help do that. Dec. 5-11 is National Influenza Vaccination Week. During regular immunization hours you can just show up with two cans of food and get a flu shot. Family of four? No problem, just bring eight cans of food.
David Cunningham, Health Director states “Getting a flu shot might not be a priority for someone if they don’t have enough food for themselves or their families. We realize flu vaccine has been available in our community for several weeks, but this is a unique event and we are excited to offer it in this way.”
Castle Dale Office immunization clinic hours for this event are: Tuesday, Dec. 7 4-5:30 p.m. For more information call 381-2252 or check www.seuhealth.com. The Price office holds clinics Monday through Thursday 3-5:30 p.m.
