PRICE, UTAH: Elden Morris Jewkes, age 84, passed away Jan. 1, 2011 in Price Utah. He was born May 6, 1926 in Orangeville, Utah to Edgar Elden Jewkes and Ila Mae Hadfield. He married Olive Yuvonne Foote on Feb. 9, 1951 in the Manti LDS Temple.
Morris enjoyed hunting, camping, and fishing with family and friends, and especially spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was retired from UMWA. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he was a member of the Quorum of Seventy.
He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years; son, Kevin (Marilyn) of Price; daughter, Kathleen (Steven) Page of Henderson, Nev.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister and two brothers.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Price LDS Fourth Ward (545 East 400 N.). Friends and family may call on Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2011, from 6-7 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary in Price (680 East 100 South) and on Wednesday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the Orangeville Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Friends and family may sign the guest book and share memories of Morris at www.fausettmortuary.com
