PRICE-Dale Keith “Caveman” Huntsman, age 55, passed away Jan. 28, 2011 at his home in Price after a brief battle with lung cancer.
He was born March 29, 1955, in Dragerton, Utah to Lynn Pettit and Valynn Christiansen Huntsman.
Dale was a longtime resident of Carbon County. He was a graduate of Carbon High School Class of 1973 where he was a member of the swim team.
He is survived by his life partner, Meliss Holloway, Price; sisters, Holly (Jeff Wright), Salt Lake City; Nori (Hunter Finch), West Valley.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Many thanks to the Huntsman Cancer Center, East Carbon Medical Services Clinic staff and to Community Nursing Hospice staff for their compassionate attention in his final days.
No services will be held. Dale will be scattered to the wind in a private ceremony led by Meliss Holloway on a future date. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home where friends can share memories of Dale at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Huntsman Cancer Center in memory of Dale.
