PRICE-Billie J. Davis, age 81, passed away Feb. 1, 2011 in Price.
He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on May 26, 1929 to Edward and LaPreel Jensen Davis.
Married Carma Mazzarise, Feb. 12, 1955 in Elko, Nev. and they were blessed with two daughters.
Bill honorably served his country in the US Air Force during Korea. He was a longtime resident of California where he was a manager of Lockheed in the missile and aerospace divisions. In 1990 Bill retired from Lockheed and shortly thereafter moved to Moab.
Bill was a man of many talents and he was always willing to share his advice and knowledge with others. Bill was always exploring new business opportunities and he loved to share his ideas with his good friend Tony Basso. Bill was very proud of Tony’s accomplishments and both Bill and Carma loved him dearly. Bill had a special place in his heart for his family and he will be dearly missed by all.
He enjoyed traveling in his motorhome, riding 4-wheelers with his buddies and he was always intrigued with the new innovations in the auto and atv industry.
Bill is survived by his wife, Carma Davis, Price; daughters, Tonilee (Bob) Kearney, Jan (John) Adams, both of Lancaster, Calif.; son that Bill never had, Tony Basso; special friend and cousin, Art Sandoval; loyal friends, neighbors, and caregivers, Al Barnett, Art and Ann Sandoval, Rod Stephens, Scott Yelonek and Tisa Pendergrass and Carrie from CNS.
Graveside services for Bill were held Friday, Feb. 4, 2011, at 12 noon in the Mt. View Cemetery in Helper. His family received friends at Mitchell Funeral Home Friday morning from 10:40-11:40 a.m. In remembrance of Bill the family encourages memorial contributions to Community Nursing and Hospice, 480 South Carbon Ave., Price, Utah 84501.
