Millsite Golf Academy
A beginners golf class will be held Feb. 22 and run through March 22 at 6 p.m. at the Emery County Recreation Center for ages 8-99.

Attention Playwrights: Enter Your Work In The Cheyenne Little Theatre Players 3rd Annual 2010-2011 New Play Project
Cheyenne Little Theatre Players is proud to announce our 3rd Annual New Play Project Competition. The New Play Project Competition is a program created by the Cheyenne Little Theatre Players (CLTP) to encourage, recognize and support new and established playwrights and encourage new works in the field of dramatic literature.
We are currently seeking submissions from experienced or first-time playwrights in the seven state region of Utah, Idaho, Montana, South Dakota, Wyoming, Nebraska and Colorado. Entries must be full-length plays that have not been performed previously; no film scripts or musicals are allowed. The winning stage play will receive a staged reading by CLTP during its 2011-2012 Season. The deadline for entries is March 31, 2011 and the winning entry will be announced by June 1, 2011.The winning playwright will receive a $250 cash award as well as a $200.00 stipend to assist with travel to Cheyenne, WY to attend production meetings, auditions, rehearsals, and performances of the work. The competition entry fee is $20 per play submitted.

Recreation Adult Men’s Spring Basketball 2011
Come to the rec. center and sign up now! You have been asking for it and now is the time. This league will start March 3 and run until April. This is a league where you sign up and we place you on a team for the remainder of the season. The number of teams depends on the number of people that sign up.

Veteran Needs Help
Perk Allred is 76 years old and spent 20 years serving our country. He has lived most of his life in Emery County. Allred is now battling cancer. He recently discovered a leak in his home that has done considerable damage. He has to have extensive repairs to his home and needs help to accomplish this. Anyone that can contribute funds, materials, or manual labor to assist Perk in repairing and restoring his home will be greatly appreciated. Self-guided presentation walks students through the sometimes-confusing financial aid application process. The Utah Higher Education Assistance Authority is very pleased to announce “Navigating the FAFSA,” a much-needed new resource to help students complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (commonly called the “FAFSA”). CASA Volunteers Needed
Each year hundreds of children in Emery and Carbon counties become wards of the juvenile court system due to child abuse, neglect or abandonment. The child welfare system can only devote so much time and attention to each individual case and, consequently, to each individual child. CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) Volunteers are ordinary men and women who find it in their hearts and their schedules to help these abused and neglected children.
