The Lady Spartans advanced to the class 3A semifinals with a 57-50 win over Morgan.
Emery led the game at the half 30-28 but struggled in the third quarter scoring only 7 points as they fell behind Morgan, the Region 11 number one seed, 42-37 heading into the fourth quarter.
Seniors Jessica Murray and Taylor Mann helped lead the Spartans to a fourth quarter comeback and made key free throws down the stretch to hold on for the win. The two played a crucial role in helping Emery outscore Morgan 20-8 in the fourth quarter for the victory.
Murray led the Lady Spartans with 19 points, including four 3-pointers, and Mann added 17. Brooke Jensen had nine points and Tayler Jewkes and Blayr Jeffs both added six points for the Lady Spartans.
Emery has secured a spot in the semifinals and will face the winner of Canyon View and Juab on Friday at 12:50 p.m. at the Huntsman Center at the University of Utah.
