PRICE-Gloria T. Patterson, age 81, passed away on Feb. 24, 2011 in Provo, due to complications of a stroke. She was born on Oct. 24, 1929 to Milton Melrose and Essie Mable Guymon Tuttle in Helper, Utah. She Married Norman G. Patterson on June 2, 1962 in the Manti LDS Temple.
Gloria was raised in Orangeville, Utah where she attended Orangeville Elementary, Central High, and South Emery High School. She worked for the Carbon Emery Bank and served the community as Utah State NAPS Auxiliary President and Castle Country Quilt Guild President. Gloria’s hobbies included quilting, family histories, and her computer. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served many callings for the church, including a mission in Hawaii, Young Women’s President, Relief Society President, and Ordinance Worker for the Manti LDS Temple for 12 years.
She is survived by her husband Norman, children: Lynn T. (Kambera), Susy (Basil) Datzman and Julie (Kelly) Medley, sister-in-laws; Selma Tuttle,Virginia Tuttle; and 12 grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, twin brother Roy Dean, brothers: Edwin M., Blaine J., Bland M. Tuttle; sister-in-law Geneva Tuttle, and granddaughter Alexis Datzman.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Price LDS Fourth Ward Chapel (545 East 400 North-Price, Utah). A viewing was held on Monday, Feb. 28, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary (680 East 100 South-Price, Utah) and also on Tuesday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the Price City Cemetery. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary. Family and friends may sign the guest book and share memories of Gloria at www.fausettmortuary.com.
