Mens and Womens Softball
Register at the Recreation Center before May 16. Mens league will begin on May 24 and womens league will begin on May 25. Registration fee is $350 per team. Learn to Sew
Jody Porter will be holding sewing days on the first and third Tuesdays of the month starting on March 8, from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. at Food Ranch (upstairs) for people of all ages. Free of charge. Manti La Sal National Forest Ferron
Ranger District
Public comment is now being accepted on input to construct a one mile trail in the Potters Pond/Miller Creek area. The proposal would decommission 1.0 mile of road that goes through several wetland areas which contributes to the flow of the head waters of Paradise Creek. The new trail would be open to OHVs 60 inches or less with four or more low pressure tires, including motorcycles. Comments can be sent to Comments-intermtn-manti-lasal-ferron-price-@fs.fed.us
Fair Vendors Wanted
The Emery County Fair is now accepting applications for food and general vendors for the Emery County Fair which will be held on Aug. 3-6. To be an exclusive food vendor, you must have your application into the Emery County Recreation office at 75 South 400 East, Castle Dale, by March 25. An application may be picked up at the office between the hours of 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. and 1:30-5 p.m., Monday through Friday, or go to the website www.emerycounty.com/fair/vendor. Open Swim at Aquatic Center
Open swim from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. will begin at the Emery County Aquatic Center on Feb. 7. This schedule will last until the fall swimming at the high school begins again.

Emery County Recreation Adult Men’s Spring Basketball 2011
Come to the rec. center and sign up now! You have been asking for it and now is the time. This league will start March 3 and run until April. This is a league where you sign up and we place you on a team for the remainder of the season. The number of teams depends on the number of people that sign up.

Veteran Needs Help
Perk Allred is 76 years old and spent 20 years serving our country. He has lived most of his life in Emery County. Allred is now battling cancer. He recently discovered a leak in his home that has done considerable damage. He has to have extensive repairs to his home and needs help to accomplish this. Anyone that can contribute funds, materials, or manual labor to assist Perk in repairing and restoring his home will be greatly appreciated. Any and all donations will be accepted, every little bit will help. Please help this retired veteran during his time of need. Huntington Zumba
Zumba dance will be held at LaRae’s Dance Studio in Huntington on Monday and Wednesday mornings at 6:30 a.m., Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 8 p.m. The cost is $35 a month or $5 a class.

Volunteer Drivers needed for Veteran’s Shuttle
Volunteer drivers are needed to transport Veterans to and from their medical appointments. This seven passenger van travels from the Price community to the George E.
