EMERY-LeRoy Brinkerhoff passed away on Feb. 23, 2011 from complications of lung cancer surgery at the age of 72.
He was born in Castle Dale, Utah on Jan. 2, 1939 and moved to San Pablo, Calif. at the age of 15. Soon after, at a church function, he met Eleanor. She turned out to be the love of his life and wife of 55 years. Together they would raise five children. LeRoy worked and excelled in the construction trade for 44 years. He showed pride in his work and continued to fix, remodel and upgrade homes for himself and others up until the day of his passing.
He was an active and respected member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved sports, fishing, ATVing, traveling in his fifth wheel trailer, and could shoot a respectable low 80s on the golf course. In his younger years, he was an avid water skier and part of the Berkeley Water Ski Club. LeRoy dearly loved his family and will be missed by all.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanor; daughters, Debi and Kim; sons Dave, Steve and Don; sister, Marie; brother, Dell; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
We love you and will miss you. We were all blessed to have you in our lives, and we will all be together again someday in the Kingdom of God.
