PRICE-Rosalie Bertot Christensen, 77, passed away April 16, 2011 after a six year struggle with Chronic Lymphocitic Leukemia (CLL) and Hemolitic Anemia.
She was born Sept. 17, 1933 in Peerless, Utah to Italian immigrants John and Josephine Buffo Bertot. Rosalie married Ray Christensen on Sept. 3, 1953 in Las Vegas, Nev.
Rosalie was a rare and precious woman and an exceptional mother who always put her family’s needs before her own. She was an excellent seamstress and made many of her own clothes as well as her children’s when they were growing up. She was one of the best Italian cooks around and prepared many specialties over the years, especially the 12 years the family spent in Sunnyside, Utah.
Rosalie worked for Reeves and Peacock, CPAs in Price for 20 years as an accounting clerk and typist. She was a great wife to Ray and she tolerated the many camping and fishing trips to Fishlake and Flaming Gorge.
She is survived by her husband, Ray; children, Denise (Bruce) Lindsay, Salina, Utah and their children Krysta and Kyle (Sarah); Karen (Isidor) Plarisan, Roseville, Calif. and their children Miles, Karly and T. J., John (Cathy) Christensen, Price, Utah and their children Jack and Emma; sisters, Lena, Emma and Bea all of Roseville, Calif.; in-laws Ted and Nola Myrl, Clyde and Nancy, Ross and Peggy.
She was preceded in death by parents, brother, Frank; and brother in-law, Jack.
Funeral service, Wednesday, April 20, 2011, 1 p.m., at Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street) in Price. A vigil service will be held Tuesday evening at 7 p.m at Mitchell Funeral Home. Family will be at Mitchell’s Tuesday and Wednesday one hour prior to services.
Interment, Price City Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are welcome daily and may share memories of Rosalie at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
