HELPER- Our loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother, Greg Paul Ferderber, age 62, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2011, he now rests in the arms of our heavenly Father.
Greg was born Jan. 28,1949 to George and Helen Fabrizio Ferderber.
He married Nancy Wheeler Aug. 28 1971 in Helper, Utah.
Greg was a life long resident of Carbon County and was well known throughout the mining community for his knowledge and many years of experience. This experience included project manager of US Steel Wash Plant, underground mining, teaching, and most recently he owned and operated a successful cable repair business.
His four grandchildren who knew him as Stati were the pride and joy of his life and he was at his happiest when surrounded by them. Greg also enjoyed his morning coffee group, golf group, and the special friendships that had developed over the years. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and most recently camping with his family and friends. He will be dearly missed by all.
Survived by his wife, Nancy; two children, Renee (Phillip) Sanchez, West Jordan and Frank (Tiffany) Ferderber, Helper; four grandchildren, Andee, Vincent, Hunter and Tommy; two brothers, Steve (Sandy) Ferderber, Sandy, Utah and George Russell “Rusty” Ferderber, Sandy, Utah; many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Mass, Thursday, April 28, 2011, 10 a.m. St. Anthony Catholic Church, 5 South Main, Helper. Vigil service, Wednesday evening, 7 p.m. Mitchell Funeral Home, 233 East Main, Price. Family will receive friends Wednesday and Thursday one hour prior to service at Mitchell’s. Committal, Cliffview Cemetery, Price.
