SPRING CITY – Glen Orvil Anderson, 62, went to be with his Heavenly Father on May 4, 2011. Glen was born May 27, 1948 in Gunnison to Elmo and Rose Anderson.
Glen attended school in Gunnison and was raised in Mayfield. He was drafted into the Army in 1966 and was a Vietnam Vet. Glen retired from the Utah Department of Transportation in August of 2010.
He married the love of his life, Pamela Ann Haney on Oct. 17, 1985. They lived in Price, Thompson, Richfield, Monroe, Elmo and most recently Spring City. Glen was an avid outdoors man, loving to hunt and fish. He was always looking for that big “trophy” elk.
Glen is survived by his wife, Pam; son, Daniel “DA” (Rebekah) Anderson, daughter, Kim Steward; and grandchildren; Anja, Monikah, Saryha, Zaq, Jager, Hope, Axeton, Dale, Andi, and Ryan. He is also survived by his mother, sisters; Ellen, Cathy (Kasey), Susan (Dale Ray) and Terrie (Terry), brother; Slade (Celia), numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his dad, daughter, Chrissy and granddaughters Rebekah Ann and Samantha.
Graveside services with Military Honors were held on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 10 a.m. in the Mayfield Cemetery. There was a viewing prior to services at the Mayfield Ward Chapel from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Interment took place in the Mayfield Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
