WELLINGTON-Joan Coombs age 66, passed away in Wellington, Utah surrounded by loved ones, on May 14, 2011. Joan was born in Price, Utah to John Chester and Marie Pierce Houskeeper on Nov. 24, 1944. She married Wesley Virgil Coombs on Oct. 6, 1962 in Wellington, Utah he later passed away on Nov. 5, 1999.
Joan was loved by many, she was a social butterfly who enjoyed and loved all her friends dearly. She enjoyed playing pool on the local leagues. She loved camping and spending time with her family. Her grandchildren brought her so much joy and she loved having them around. She was an avid reader and enjoyed Louis L’Amour books.
She is survived by her children: Mickie (William) Mitchell of Castle Dale, Utah, Wesley Coombs, Lynnie Coombs, both of Wellington, Utah, Jeffrey (Tammy) Coombs of Elmo, Utah, 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, brothers: Chester (Vivian) Houskeeper of Wellington, Ron (Linda) Houskeeper of Kaysville, Utah, Jack Houskeeper, Rick (Gayla) Houskeeper both of Price, and Rod Houskeeper of Wellington.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and a brother, Bud Ray Houskeeper.
Funeral services will be Saturday, May 21, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Wellington LDS Fourth Ward Chapel. A viewing will be held on Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary in Price and on Saturday from 9-10:30 a.m. at the church prior to the services. Interment will be in the Wellington City Cemetery.
